"Flip for Whales" Sunset Cruise and Yacht Club Party at Moss Landing

Marine Life Studies is hosting a “Flip for Whales” Sunset Cruise and Yacht Club Party. Flip for Whales is a fundraiser for Marine Life Studies’ whale and dolphin research, the Whale Entanglement Team (W.E.T.), and free educational programs for children and youth at the Boys and Girls Clubs, area schools and public events and adults. This is an all volunteer organization so the funds can go directly to their supported programs. The sunset cruise will departs from Moss Landing Harbor with special guest Charles “Flip” Nicklin a National Geographic photographer and Jim Davis who will be playing live music. Wine, appetizers, and silent and live auction will be held on this cruise. Participants will get a chance to have Flip sign his book “Among Giants: A Life with Whales” and will be given pointers on how to take the perfect “National Geographic Photo”. If a participant does not get a chance to be on the Sunset Cruise the Yacht club will be hosting a party at Elkhorn Yacht Club in Moss Landing from 7-10pm. Activities will consist of a special presentation from Flip Nicklin and Peggy Strap the Executive Director of Marine Life Studies. Wine, appetizers, and a silent and live auction will be accompanied by composer/pianist Nick Peter Fettis. Minimum donation for this event is $125 per ticket. Donations are tax deductible. Limited Tickets are available.
