Zombies. Yeah, this is the kind of gory fun stuff Paper Wing does best around here. But don't turn your back dismissively on George Romero's 1968 B-movie popcorn fare: It's got pointed social and political messages that are hard to kill, critiquing racism, the Vietnam War, and yahoo rednecks with guns. And why do zombies have a hankering for brains? Because when you stop thinking you literally become a zombie (Romero's sequel, set in a shopping mall, makes this case with even more consumer-trashing zeal and fun). Just in time for Halloween.
