Barefoot in the Park at Bruce Ariss Wharf Theater

There's no playwright better suited to depict the honeymoon period than intuitive, incisive Neil Simon. This classic romantic comedy follows a young, newly married couple from a Plaza Hotel honeymoon to the demands of the daily grind in their fifth-floor Manhattan walk-up as they negotiate the trials of love in the context of reality. Simon's second play, Barefoot in the Park won the 1964 Tony for directing. On Thursdays (Oct. 4, 11, 18) donate a new pair of children's shoes for one free ticket. [SR]
