From detailed close-ups of blossoms to the striking, rounded landscapes she painted, famed artist George O'Keefe applied a particular organic sensibility to the shapes and lines around her. In this one-woman play, O'Keefe is in her 50s and reflects on pivotal periods in her life, from art school to falling in love with photographer Alfred Stieglitz to discovering the power of the expansive New Mexico horizon. Played here by Jessica Powell, the historical character's thoughts on life and art are brought delicately into the present day. [SR]
