The La Mirada branch of the Monterey Museum of Art hosts a Halloween evening masquerade. This is a party thrown by the Monterey Contemporaries, who have enlisted local DJ Hanif Wondir to spin music for those in costume to dance in the drawing room under crystal chandeliers. Food, beer, and wine will be available to those mingling with the Mo+Co group, who pride themselves in their cutting edge taste in food, music, art, and culture. Museum members enjoy a discounted admission of $10, while all others pay $15; Mo+Co members get in free. Art lovers will delight in haunting the halls of the museum tonight, which hopefully doesn't invoke the wrath of the spirits of those who once resided within its walls. [GS]
