Women of Whimsy & Mirth 'O' Matics at Monterey Peninsula College

Improv groups Women of Whimsy, who have been around for six years, and Mirth'O'Matics, who have been around for four years, team up in this show at MPC in which they take audience suggestions and spin them into roiling skits of funny stuff off the tops of their heads. No script, no rehearsal, just laughs. The annual show benefits the YWCA, a community group that serves women and children survivors of domestic violence and rape, and its Director of Development, Karen Hagman, says, "[The Women of Whimsy] were a big hit last year and we're especially delighted abou the Mirth'O'Matics joining in and adding men players to the mix."
