Peace in Syria doesn’t appear to be coming anytime soon, given that thousands of civilians were killed in August alone. But in a lecture at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, the Obama Administration's special advisor to Syria will discuss insights on how the U.S. plans to address the conflict.
Ambassador Frederic C. Hof will speak about the United States key policy measures from removing President Assad from power and addressing the refugee crisis to reintegrating Syria into the international community. Mr. Hof has an extensive background in Middle East affairs, starting with his career as a U.S. Army Middle East Foreign Area Officer and more recently working in the U.S. Department of State Office's Special Envoy for Middle East Peace.
