The Henry Miller Library once again becomes a haven for seekers of an indie-rock heaven. Earlimart open for Ben Gibbard for an intimate performance under the open skies and redwoods in Big Sur. Earlimart's first album was released in 1999 and they've made five others since, gaining a following in indie-rock circle, especially in Southern California. Ben Gibbard, who rarely plays without his Death Cab for Cutie mates, takes time to unleash the creativity from his album "Former Lives." He says that this album spans eight years of relationships, different places, and drinking vs. sobriety. Admission for four with a reserved table can be yours for $275, giving quartets of music lovers a nice perch from where to watch the show; general admission (sans table) goes for $49. [GS]
