PGAC rounds up enough artists to fill six galleries in this installment of three big group shows. The bi-annual Pacific Grove Art Center Studio Artists show comprises work by 16 of PGAC's studio artists in the Dyke Gallery. Work by various artists in the hallway to the right at the top of the stairs centers around the Pacific Grove Historic Home Tour; in the hallway to the right you'll find watercolors by Julie Heilman; and in the Annand Gallery, photographs by of the Natural World by Gregory Weeks. The biggie, though, is the annual Artists Equity-Monterey County Studios Tour show: one work by each of the 56 artists participating in the (mostly) county-wide studios tours later this month. A Whitman's sampler of paintings, photos and 3D art that looks like a smorgasbord of creativity. It's not to be missed. (Also, artist Marilee Childs puts up a work for raffle for $5-$7, and does a collage demonstration and lecture 1-2pm Sat, $5/general.) Violinist Gretchen Taylor will perform to accompany this bonanza. And for an appetizer, the First Friday Art Walk will be roiling outside in the streets of Pacific Grove starting at 6pm. [WR]
