Europe in the 14th through 16th centuries brought about nothing less than artistic revolution and a humanistic rebirth with the rise of classical art, architecture, literature and music. Men in tights, crooked constables and merry maidens roam the grounds, where you'll be invited to practice your archery, axe throwing and fencing skills. Be on the lookout for majestic Queen Elizabeth, an invasion of savage pirates or mystical creatures traipsing across the land. Watch jousting or sword fighting or theater on one of seven lively stages, then wind down every Saturday with a Celtic rock concert beginning at 6pm. [SR]
