Russian composer Igor Stravinsky is one of the most widely performed and influential composers of the 19th century. He has helped establish neoclassicism, recycling classical melodies and setting them to wild new harmonies for modern orchestra. Explore this musical movement as the Monterey Symphony present the orchestral program 'Pulcinella: A Symphonic Story.' The program is a ballet suite performed by dancers from the Dance Kids of Monterey County with music by Stravinsky, and conducted by Daniel Alfred Wachs. The performance also incorporates audience participation creating a memorable experience. [YG]
