In a last minute switcheroo due to a scheduling conflict with the Dr. John Show, the good people at Golden State have procured the sweet-lipped sounds of the California Honeydrops to open for local soul-singing favorites, The Danni Paige Band. The California Honeydrops steal a little Nola style from the back east, bringing their rare brand of funk to the Peninsula. TDPB is looking to keep their regional mojo flowing as their soulful style continues to grow a faithful following. Though the lobby shows are no more at GST—meaning small acts have to take to the bigger stage despite smaller crowds—that isn't stopping these two grassroots groups from performing their asses off.
