A production that has changed yearly since its inception in 1996, Eve Ensler's provocative monologues have grown to include the testimonials of Bosnian women in some variations to the plight of women living under the Taliban, and serve as a yearly reminder of evolving women's issues in the international community during V-day. The play has become an event that surrounds itself with local nonprofit groups supporting women, and a changing dialogue about the many faces of feminism. This year's production by CSUMB's Empower club, dedicated to empowering women through art, culture and education, benefits the Monterey Rape Crisis Center and the Triangle Speakers, a program of the Santa Cruz Diversity Center.
