Dirk Hamilton's extensive music career began in the 1970's. His style that hits the country but still rocks is often compared to Van Morrison and Bruce Springsteen matched with his poetic lyrics has caught the attention of Gary Katz, a producer who worked with Steely Dan, and Elektra Records which released, what Rolling Stone called one of the essential albums of the 70s, Hamilton's album "Meet me at the Crux." After 16 albums, Hamilton is still creates new music and tours mainly in Italy, his home state, Texas, and now at Plaza Linda. [YG]
