YMMC Concert at Sunset Center

The Youth Music Monterey County (YMMC) Junior, Youth and Honors Orchestras will be performing a dynamic and diverse repertoire during their concert "Through Strength to Transformation." Musical highlights will include performances by the 2012-2013 Concerto Competition Winner and YMMC member Peter Mellinger (who often plays at the Monterey Farmer's Market on Alvarado St.) and by special vocal guests Rebecca Davis (soprano) and Ben Gulley (tenor). The professional vocalists will be accompanying the Honors Orchestra as they perform Puccini's La Boheme, Verdi's Ave Maria and Donizetti's Una Furtiva Lagrima. A silent auction will also take place during and after the concert; auction items will include tickets to local musical groups (like the Monterey Symphony) as well as gift certificates to other favorite locations (like the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Sticks Restaurant in Pebble Beach and Disneyland).
