Writers Open Mike founder and third-place 2012 National Write Non-Fiction in November winner Pat Hanson will read from her winning manuscript Invisible Grandparenting: Leave a Legacy of Love Whether You Can Be There or Not, and selections from her racier collections: In Search of a Significant Equal, Stillness: My Final Frontier, Hopelessly Heterosexual?, and Selected Shorts. Open mike readings take place after Hanson's 15-20 minute reading. Writers are advised to come early to signup for five- to seven-minute mike sessions reading from any genre, from prose and poetry, to essay and screenplay.
