Coney Island, 100 years ago. A cranking calliope harkens back to ageless wonder at slight of hand tricks, disappearing acts and cajoling life and a dance from a typical inanimate piece of silk. World renowned actor-magician Bradley Fields selects some of the most stymying of tricks and executes them magically by taking a cue from his mythical midway introduction, the tone is exotic, when the Himalayas were a place few had been, there was so much unexpected, and the world was a little younger and a dash more optimistic. After reassembling his lovely assistant, dismissing his fish bowls and showering the audience in silver dust, Fields will use magic to teach math as part of the Sunset Center's Classroom Connections program, with his show MatheMagic!, and will also teach elementary school students in Salinas classrooms.
