As a non-representational painter Terese Garcia retreats from the usual Carmel Valley landscape and Lover's Point scene paintings, and ventures into the realm of abstract art in her exhibition "Fluidity." Garcia approaches the canvas in the moment creating works that come forth from observation, spontaneity, and exploration. By focusing on the concrete characteristics of texture, composition, and palette, Garcia evokes the abstract visual voice of each piece leaving the interpretation to the viewer. [YG]
