Brian Jacobson, owner/manager of Smith Tree Service, is a certified arborist who's also studied in geology. He lectures on the oak tress of Carmel Valley and the cultural practices, disease diagnosis and their complex interdependence in the greater ecosystem and community. Refreshments are served. Incidentally, Jacobson also sings in the Camerata and the Carmel Bach Festival Chorus.
