It is not hyperbole to say that Tomlin is a legend in comedy. She's won six Emmys, a Tony, a Grammy and more, for roles and performances on stage, recordings, TV and film. She's a master at creating characters who come alive and make us laugh while at the same time exploring intelligent and humane issues. She's a fount of talent and smarts and dedication to storytelling. This one-woman show in which she channels many women characters (and maybe, as the title suggests, precocious little girl Edith Ann) is going to be a treat. [WR]
