The 20th annual Monterey Swingfest—featuring five days of 5 days of workshops, contests, exhibitions, social dancing and world champs—is bringing some of the biggest names in the swing game to the area. The flamboyant Benji Schwimmer—known for using enough hair gel to arm a small city—is nationally renowned for winning “So You Think You Can Dance" in 2006 and for his appearance on “Dancing With The Stars." He's also the artistic director for LeAnn Rimes and Paula Abdul. Attendees, Kyle Redd and Sarah Vann Drake, have more awards than Hefner has Viagra: They are 5-time NASDE Champions, hold 11 US Open Titles and are 8-time Grand National Champions. [AJ]
