Teen Graphic Novel Club Kick Off with Gene Luen Yang at P.G. Public Library

Local teens meet in a new book discussion series about comics, manga, and other graphic novels. Bay area award-winning comic book artist Gene Luen Yang (Avatar:The Last Airbender, parts 1-3, Dark Horse Comics) kicks off the six week series by discussing his 2006 National Book Award-nominated "American Born Chinese." The book club is open to the first ten teens. Other books that will be discussed include "Astro Boy," "Full Metal Alchemist," "Persepolis" and "The Runaways." Teens are advised to pick up "American Born Chinese" to read before the meeting.
