Deborah Miranda at CSUMB Student Center

Member of the Ohlone Costanoan Esselen Nation, Miranda is an associate professor of English, writing and Native American literature at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA, and she's also a published poet of two collections, Indian Cartography and The Zen of La Llorna. Now she's also an author of a book, Bad Indians: A Tribal Memoir, about her own family's experience and that of other California Indians told through oral histories, newspaper clips, recordings, reflections and poems. After her presentation, she signs her book. [WR]
