Cheeky Spanks at Hartnell College Planetarium

This is the end. Beautiful friend. Cheeky Spanks has had a good long run as one of the most popular bands in the county—with one of the cheekiest band names—multiple winners of the Weekly readers' Best Local Band award, celebrants of countless 29th birthdays, players of versatility and fun across covers of Lucinda WIlliams, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin and The Doors. This planetarium show, though, is a popular annual tradition in which the Cheeky crew has conjured '60s icons like Hendrix and The Beatles, with impressive light show to boot. And this one, three shows in one day, revolving around the brilliant, mystical, blues rock muscle of Led Zeppelin, will be their last. Anywhere. Word is that band is breaking up. If there are tickets left, this is your chance to see this magical symbiosis of music and lights. Call to reserve tickets. [WR]
