It was her belief in the magical circle of energy between audience and actors that inspired Elsa Con to open the Magic Circle Theatre where she has been directing and sharing her life-long love of theater to locals since the mid-1990s. Working with some of the area's most popular and accomplished actors, she brings life to Steinbeck's classic story of hope and heartache through George and Lennie, two Depression-era migrant workers looking for a small piece of the American dream. The production is funded in part by the Carmel Valley Veterinary Hospital. [DVD]
