"In Motion" Exhibit at the Center for Photographic Art

The "In Motion" exhibit is stopping time to capture the fluidity within dancers and cityscapes. Two celebrated photographers are conveying a variety of emotions by using an innovative approach. Hal Eastman’s Natural Dance portrays body movements that capture spirit and give flight to the soul’s connection to wind and water. The sculptural quintessence of dance is depicted with a lyrical correspondence of nature and movement. Jim Kasson’s Staccato series illuminates figures intermingled in a scene of energetic city surroundings. The Monterey County resident’s career as a former electrical engineer gives his art high vibrations of fused colors and reveals unique beauty in these photos that speak. Come listen to the words behind the unique vitality at the free Artists' Lecture opening the contemporary exhibit. As time accelerates everyday, slow the roll and witness the whispering colors and dynamic people in the commotion of the passing days. [JR]
