Bay Area band Angus Scrimm throws a cellist into the midst of their instrumental psychedelic prog-rock jams that inhale into their vortex jazz fusion, funk, surf rock and contemporary classical music. It makes for a sound that rocks but can get refined, epic and clever. Their brethren in the classical stringed instrument, whirling dervish Rushad Eggleston, opens the show and is a trip every time into virtuoso playing and unhinged stage antics.
