NAACP 41st Annual LIfe Membership Banquet at Hyatt Monterey

The theme for this annual gathering, a celebration of 81 years of Civil Rights leadership in Monterey County, is "150 Years Since the Emancipation Proclamation: The Struggle for Freedom and Equality Continues." For the occasion, famed civil rights advocate Julian Bond will appear as guest speaker, and the President's Award will be given to Josephine Morris and the Tolly and Cleo Martin Spirit of Partnership Award will be presented to Red's Donuts. This is a powerful affirmation of unity in the cause of freedom. [WR]
