Jeffrey Becom loves color: brilliant, stunning, crunchy, textured color. The pursuit of color, he says, is his “life’s calling.” His appreciation of the visual sensation—and by extension, the vibrant world we live in—can be seen in his paintings and photography, presented by Arts Habitat. Becom, author or “Maya Color: The Painted Villages of Mesoamerica” and “Mediterranean Color,” is now investigating traditional architectural color across India and throughout the Andean villages of South America.
