Your tax dollars pay for local government. So the activities and the records of public agencies are required by law to be open to you. This is a look at just how open government is in Monterey County

Since we the people are responsible for keeping informed about public issues and electing those who govern us, good government is open government. After all, it's tough enough deciding who to vote for when we know what the candidates have been up to.
