Riding The Rails

Train travel is scenic, sensible, and something we should support.

The Amtrak Thruway bus and train system offers a wonderful alternative to driving an automobile. Eileen Johnson, in her letter (CW, June 17) describes one of the most inconvenient routes, traveling from Monterey to Ventura via the San Joaquin Valley. This gives an unfavorable impression of the service.
