Concern over the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments' overestimated population forecasts, has raised the hackles of local residents and sent watchdog groups nipping at AMBAG's heels--particularly over the prospect that faulty population figures may have encouraged the state to spent $3 million studying the Hatton Canyon Freeway.
