Paul Branum, manager of the california Department of Food and Agriculture's (CDFA) organic food program, is officially home sick. Nonetheless, the self-described "one man band" for California organic produce is talking to a reporter, hollering into the phone about a market for organics that he says is so big, neither his tiny office, nor California's 1,900 registered organic growers can meet it.
