As Monterey County recovers from recent flooding, environmental experts ponder the effects of the flooding on the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary (MBNMS). Of particular concern is the lack of programs that will effectively monitor the long-term consequences of pollutants that might be accumulating due to floodwater run-off.
