If you market it, they will come. That's the philosophy the new Western Baseball League and its local franchise, the Salinas Peppers are trying their hopes to for the future. Owners of the new team, which officially begins play May 19, are aggressively promoting their fledgling independent sporting organization in an effort to re-introduce minor league baseball to the people of the Central Coast.
