Out of the Rough
Actor Bill Murray says he's come up through the ranks of golf the hard way.
Thursday, February 2, 1995
There are 150 youngsters between the ages of seven and 18 sitting on the gymnasium floor of the Boys and Girls Club waiting to see Bill Murray. They are seated in neat rows, and organizer Ron has lulled them down to a low rumble. But one ponytailed girl still bounces up and down chanting "Bill Murray, he's funny" like a mantra, and an older boy down in front is letting out periodic shrieks for no apparent reason.
