The fate of Measure C remains an open question.

Despite assurances from partisan supporters on both sides of the dam issue that they will prevail next Tuesday, it's anybody's guess whether the New Los Padres Dam will iwn voter approval on election day. What is clear, say most political observers, is that it isn't what voters know, but what they think they don't know that will ultimately determine Measure C's fate.
