Packard Foundation gives to a range of local groups.

When philanthropist and Hewlett-Packard founder David Packard died on March 26, local news reports focused primarily on the Packard family's contributions to the marine science community--most notably the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI).
