National, local groups strive to register Hispanic voters.

In the wake of the nail-biting finish between Simon Salinas and J.T. "Jesse" James in the race for the District 1 Supervisorial race--and with only 33 percent of the heavily Hispanic district even turning out to vote--leaders in the Hispanic community say it's no more important than ever that Latino votes turn out at the polls.
