This year, June 1 signals more than the beginning of summer for Californians. On that day, the much talked-about Caller ID will go into effect. Caller ID is a service that allows incoming telephone numbers--including unlisted numbers--to be displayed on special telephones or on devices that can be easily purchased at appliance stores for as little as $39.
