Amidst an atmosphere of greater restriction, local teens look for something to do.

Last ninth, the popular Bay Books on Alvarado Street in Monterey exercise its right to refuse cafe service to a select group of young people who had commandeered the outdoor seating area as their new hangout. Management said the "kids"--many of whom are over 18--intimidated other customers and were hurting business.
