Oct. 22 may go down in local lore as the day the Hatton Canyon Parkway died. That is the date the Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC) will consider a written request by Assembly members Fred Keeley and Peter Frusetta that TAMC ask the California Transportation Commission (CTC) to set aside $31 million in funding earmarked for the Hatton Canyon project.
