Seaside City Council--Filling the Void
Thursday, March 25, 1999
The Seaside City Council failed to fill the void created by the departure of Councilmember Helen Rucker because the remaining councilmembers could not agree on a person to fill her seat. A special election for a new councilmember will cost the city approximately $20,000. How do Seaside residents feel about their indecisive City Council and the upcoming City Council election?

Do you think the City Council failed by not appointing a councilmember? Sure sounds like it.
Are you pleased with the current City Council? I''m not familiar with that and we are moving to Hawaii in five weeks.
Are you concerned with their failure to compromise? With an issue that important, I am very disappointed.

Are you pleased with the current City Council? Not really, how hard is it to pump energy into Seaside when the nearby areas are booming?
