Follow Up: Do you eat fish?
Jan Risley
Nurse/Pacific Grove
A: I know the sewer backed up in Pacific Grove and goes in there. Sometimes you see it full of brown frothy stuff that doesn''t look normal. They say the ocean cleans itself but I don''t know. We could be doing a better job.
Just for the halibut? I try to eat fish once a week for health. I''ll eat salmon or canned tuna. I don''t buy fresh fish and prepare it for my family but that''s because they''re not crazy about it.

A: At Lover''s Point it''s not. Overall I think it''s OK. We just went to the beach yesterday and it looked pretty clean.
Not just Fish on Friday? We''re Asian, so that''s part of our diet. We like lingcod, rockfish.

A: Overall yes, but there are certain areas that really need help. Most of the American coast needs more monitoring. It needs more people paying attention to it. I used to live in Alaska and there were a lot of problems.
Raw? I certainly do. I always have sushi at least once a week.
