Q: Do you think that violence in foreign countries is affecting Americans, making them hesitant to travel abroad?
Follow Up: Where did your summer vacation take you this year?

A: Yes, but it''s affecting people less now than a year ago. People are still hesitant, they are driving more.
On the Road Again: We drove cross-country. We moved from Texas to the Bay Area.

A: Actually I haven''t traveled abroad since 9/11, but friends and co-workers have traveled all over. I don''t know anyone that travels to areas with problems.
Aloha: Maui, and then I came here-we rented a house for a week.

A: Probably I would say that is correct. I haven''t traveled recently; I just come here every five or six months.
Nowhere Like: Carmel. Nowhere else this summer.
