FROTHY LOVE... The first annual Monterey Beer Festival: "Brew With A View" is behind us and proved what we anticipated--Monterey was thirsty for a beer festival. Nothing of any magnitude can be accomplished without help and we were blessed to have more than our share of it. Please forgive me if your name is omitted. Carl Anderson, Bob Hummel, Jim Conway, the entire city of Monterey, Lieutenant Ed Smith from the Monterey PD and David Reade from Fire. All the agencies from ABC to Department of Health, to State Board of Equalization kept everything moving smoothly.

Drew and David of Clementine''s Kitchen added a dimension unique to this festival. Scott "BT-DT" Reese drew the first rendition of our logo, Karen Loutzenheiser (unpronounceable or spellable last name) of the Weekly, transitioned the logo to electronics and my brother Chris Rhynas in Toronto, brought all our ideas together, nailed the finished product. How about that Moses clan; Jack and Beverly at the gate, Kim, Daisy and Declan, the booth, Jay, Caroline, Kim, Ian, Laura and Ben everywhere, truly a family affair. Sweet Thing...we did it. Dad. Rita. The Hunsakers, Chuck and Heidi--irreplaceable, Joe Mendez, knowledge and power, Charles Pregenzer...appears, helps, disappears. Sal Troia--never heard of us, fronted all the ice we needed, Better Brands Foods, the truck from heaven.
