Asked at the Post Office in Marina

Q: What’s your idea of fine dining?

Follow-up: What’s your favorite food?

Debra Williams
Adult Day Care | Seaside

A: I look for courtesy, politeness and quick service with a smile. The place also has to be clean. If it isn’t clean then there’s no point in sitting there while you’re eating.

Apples and Oranges: Any Chinese or soul food.

Jeff Nagle
Student | Marina

A: Food I wouldn’t normally be able to make myself. Why go out to dinner for chicken when you can make it? Atmosphere and service also important.

Swimming Around: Seafood.

Ellen Robertson
Nurse’s Assistant | Marina

A: I’m a romantic person so I like a candlelight meal, easy listening music, maybe some violins, and a nice ocean view. If you’re going out to dinner I say get dressed up, get a limo.

Burnt to a Crisp: Steak, well-done.
