Asked at Star Center in Salinas.

Q: IF YOU COULD LEVY A TAX, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHERE WOULD THE MONEY GO?

Follow-up: What would your campaign slogan be?

CHRIS ARROCENA | Photographer | Salinas

A: Tax bad movies. If they’re going to make a comic book movie, stay true to the comic. The Punisher movie needed way more violence. The money from the tax would go to good movies.

Fanboys Unite: Help keep Stan Lee alive!

STACY WILMOTH | Teacher | Salinas

A: I would tax people every time they were rude. Since I’m a teacher the money would go towards education.

Pay It Forward: Treat other people the way you want to be treated.

GLENN KARDEL | Retired | Salinas

A: Tobacco, to stop people from smoking. The money should go to educate kids or people not to start smoking.

Extinguished: Tax tobacco, but use 100 percent of the money to fight the addiction.
