COMMUNITY ACTION COMMISSION | COUNTYWIDE – The Monterey County Community Action Partnership seeks volunteers from Districts 2, 4 and 5 to fill vacancies on the Community Action Commission, an advisory board intended to influence programs that assist and empower low-income residents through contracts with nonprofit agencies. The commission meets on the third Monday of the month, at 4:30pm in Salinas. Interested persons residing in District 2 (Aromas, Boronda, Moss Landing, Castroville, Pajaro, Prunedale, Las Lomas, Royal Oaks) can send a resume and a letter to: Supervisor Lou Calcagno, Castroville Courthouse, 11140 Speegle St., P.O. SEASIDE CITY COUNCIL | SEASIDE – The City Council holds a public hearing regarding a proposed amendment to the municipal zoning code that would ban medical marijuana dispensaries within Seaside. Court challenges may only involve issues raised at the hearing or written and delivered to the Council prior to the hearing. 7pm. Council Chambers, City Hall, 440 Harcourt Ave., Seaside.
