Follow-up: What the biggest lie you’ve ever told or have been told?
DEBBIE BERON | Courtesy Clerk| Pacific Grove
A: A couple of classmates and I once told our teacher that his favorite band member was dead. He almost started crying, but it was only a joke.
Stickin’ It to the Man: I called in sick to work but instead of staying homye I went to Disneyland.
SCOTT WESTFALL | Advertising| Salinas
A: My buddy pulled a prank on his parents—he faked a wedding up in Tahoe. He had everything set up at their house, the bride-to-be came down the isle as his parents came home. They freaked.
Momma Knows Best: I told my mom I moved to Texas but I was still living in town. She didn’t like my girlfriend at the time and I didn’t want to deal with it. I got caught because my aunt told on me. My mom was pretty pissed.
CHRISTA HALE | Registered Nurse| Nashville
A: My mom once pretended she had a severe stomachache. My brother freaked and called 911 before she could tell him it was only a joke.
Federal Offense: During spring break before I got out of nursing school my friends and I told people we were already RNs.
